Are You Prepared for Flu Season?
Flu season can begin in October and continue through March. Most people believe if you get your flu shot in October you will be immunized for the full flu season. This may not be true for you. If you had your flu shot in October you may not be immunized through March. The flu shot has a shorter life duration than the actual flu season. There are times when your Physician will consider giving you a second flu shot in January to re immunize you for the second half of the flu season. Please consult your Physician and see if a second flu shot would be recommended for you, and always good hand washing, eating right, getting a good night sleep, and avoiding those that are ill are all ways to stay well during the flu season.
